How To Make Matcha Facial Cream
Ingredients
-1/2 scoop of RW Golden Matcha Powder
-1/4 oz pure bees wax
-1 oz coconut oil
-1 oz olive oil (better quality for better results)
-1/4 tsp argan oil
-Container to store lotion in
Instructions
- Combine wax and oils into a chocolate melter (not usually as hot as a regular boiler) or a double boiler (uses steam to melt the ingredients).
- NOTE: We want it hot enough to melt the ingredients, but not hot enough to burn them. While this could be achieved using a traditional pot, it is much more strenuous and requires a lot more attention to make sure you stop it at the right point.
- Once melted down remove from the heat source and add in the matcha powder. For a moisturizer, use 1/2 scoop of RW Golden Matcha Powder. For a wrinkle reducer, use 3/4 scoop of RW Golden Matcha Powder.
- Mix lightly and then let sit for 15 minutes.
- Pour the container into a glass that is wide enough to mix in (often a glass cup or glass measuring cup).
- Using a mixer, whip until the ingredients are combined in a creamy lotion consistency. By now the lotion should be melted and you are able to transfer it to the storage container.
Note: The shelf life for this Matcha Facial Cream will be very long, however we recommend storage in a cool, dark place to maximize the shelf life as much as possible.
